  • The Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 3.5-inch internal hard drive offers massive storage capacity without sacrificing data processing speeds. Even at 2TB, the WD2002FAEX still maintains data read and write efficiency with 7200RPM. With a buffer cache of 64MB, the Caviar Black has an internal data transfer speed of 6 Gb/s buffer to host and 138 MB/s host to/from drive with SATA 6 Gb/s connectivity. The average latency for the Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB WD2002FAEX is 4.2 ms.This internal hard drive has a host of features, including dual actuator technology, StableTrac, and NoTouch ramp load technology. StableTrac is a feature that secures the motor shaft of the HDD on both ends, which reduces vibration for more accurate data reading and writing. This feature also dramatically increases reliability and ensures that everything within the hard drive is stabilized and that the tracking is accurate. NoTouch ramp load technology keeps the recording head from touching the disk media, which provides for a longer HDD life. Along with the vibration control technology added to this device, it also comes with corruption protection technology. This ensures that your files are safe from unwanted forces, which also conserves HDD life.The main use for the Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 3.5-inch internal hard drive is for power computing, especially since it uses SATA 6 Gb/s connectivity.
