IntelliPower adjusts the unit's spin speed, caching algorithms, and transfer rate for high performance and low energy use. It also uses IntelliSeek to quickly access files while keeping noise, vibration, and energy use at a minimum. These Western Digital 2TB black drives use very little power. StableTrac functionality secures the motor shaft at both ends, reducing the amount of vibration during read-and-write operations. Access your data without excessive noise or the need for a loud fan. Even under a heavy transfer load during consistent use, sound from the device is minimal. It has an operating temperature range of between zero degrees and 60 degrees Celsius. A high-temperature resistance protects the parts from heat damage to provide a SATA drive you can rely on.This 2TB OEM hard disk drive is compatible with Windows PCs and Mac OS X. Once it is mounted in your computer, use a SATA cable to connect it to the motherboard. Alternatively, install it by placing it in a separate enclosure for USB connections. Four platters of 500 GB each make up the hardware; it has an areal density of 400 GB per square inch. The NoTouch ramp load design means the recording head never touches the disk. This gives the recording head a longer life and makes it safer when carrying the drive to protect your hardware and your data.
